WHAT IS
KUNDALINI YOGA?

Kundalini yoga is a deeply spiritual practice that combines set sequences of postures (kriyas), breathwork, mantra and meditation. It is often called the science of angles and triangles: every angle we hold the body in has its own energetic effect, because the muscles put pressure on specific areas. For example, lifting the legs to 30 degrees works on the navel point, and lifting the arms to 60 degrees works on the heart and lungs.

Strengthening the nervous system:

Feeling Calmer & More Grounded: Many students find the mix of movement, breath and focus in a Kundalini kriya leaves them feeling calmer, steadier and less reactive, with more energy to draw on when they need it.

Strengthening & building muscles:

Building Strength & Flexibility: Muscles that aren’t used regularly soon start to weaken. Kundalini yoga is a complete, whole-body practice that helps you keep strong and flexible at any age.

YOGA CLASSES

NEAR SALISBURY

I have been practising Kundalini yoga for 10 years and recently completed my teacher training with our dear teacher in Glastonbury. It’s my joy to share this practice in weekly classes, held in my garden in Great Durnford, near Salisbury, and in the yurt when the weather turns.

Classes are open to all levels, and every posture can be adapted. No experience needed: just bring a mat, a blanket and an open mind.
